The growing international profile of Kazakhstan is creating new opportunities for business, investment, tourism and cultural exchange. At the centre of several initiatives connecting the country with global networks is Alain Khoueiry, an international businessman, investor and author whose work spans multiple regions and sectors.
Based in Kazakhstan, Khoueiry serves as Central Asia Representative for the America Eurasia Business Coalition (AEBC). In this capacity, he works toward strengthening relationships between Kazakhstan, the United States and other Central Asian markets, with an emphasis on commercial cooperation, investment and strategic partnerships.
His business interests are anchored by iHolding Group, which he founded and currently chairs. The Kazakhstan based group operates across a diverse range of areas, including real estate, infrastructure, hospitality and tourism, technology, natural resources, advisory services and international investment.
Khoueiry also heads iAmerica, which focuses on creating stronger business and investment links between Kazakhstan, the United States and international markets. Together, these platforms reflect his interest in facilitating connections between companies, investors and institutions across borders.
One of the newer dimensions of this work can be seen in Kazakhstan’s growing relationship with international sporting events. The country is set to host a round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship in August 2027 at Kapchagay in the Almaty Region. The event is being developed through cooperation involving F1H2O, iHolding, international partners and the Almaty Region Government.
The championship is expected to bring international attention to the region while creating opportunities connected with tourism and commercial activity. For Kazakhstan, hosting a global sporting event also represents an opportunity to showcase its destinations and infrastructure to audiences beyond Central Asia.
Khoueiry’s role extends into the cultural sphere as well. As Chairman of UNDSMA, he supports international initiatives involving sports, music, arts, youth and cultural cooperation.
His diverse activities demonstrate an approach to international engagement that goes beyond investment alone, bringing together business, sport, tourism and cultural exchange as avenues for strengthening Kazakhstan’s global connections.
